The Planetarium

The planetarium is located at the headquarters of the Volkssterrenwacht (amateur astronomical society) Beisbroek, in Beisbroek Castle on the outskirts of Bruges. It features reclining seats and a full-dome projector which allows educational films to be shown in addition to the traditional planetarium projector (Zeiss Skymaster ZKP3/B with 7000 stars, planets, constellations and ecliptic). Besides the planetarium the Volkssterrenwacht also possesses two telescopes and a weather station.

Beisbroek Castle is surrounded by 98 ha (240 acres) of wooded parkland, and also houses a Nature Centre.
